For[ced] Sale, 2015

To highlight the sell off and commoditisation of the residents in the Sydney suburb of Millers Point, I re-imagined the streetscape of Trinity Avenue by installing an ephemeral, site specific installation. The barcode is an optical machine-readable representation of data relating to the object to which it is attached. Using the barcode as a metaphor for the way public housing tenants within Millers Point have been treated by the New South Wales Government symbolises commoditisation and lack of individual concern or circumstance.

For[ced] Sale is the photo-documentation of this intervention.
